Starlink Launch Price OUT: Dish To Cost Rs 33,000 In India; Check Monthly Subscription Rate Here

Starlink is close to launching satellite internet services in India after meeting regulatory and security requirements.

Elon Musk's satellite internet service Starlink has finalised its pricing structure for the Indian market, setting the cost of the required satellite dish device at approximately Rs 33,000, sources said, as per an ANI report. As it prepares to commence operations in India within the next two months after receiving its license last week, Starlink has decided on its pricing model for the country.
The monthly unlimited data plan is expected to be priced at Rs 3,000. The company plans to offer a complimentary one-month trial period with each device purchase, allowing customers to test the service before committing to regular monthly payments, according to the report.
The pricing structure appears consistent with Starlink's regional strategy, as the device costs align with those in neighbouring countries. In Bangladesh, the Starlink device is priced at Rs 33,000, while Bhutan maintains the same Rs 33,000 price point for the equipment.

Starlink to launch in India soon

Starlink has already received an important licence from India's telecom ministry, allowing it to offer satellite internet services in the country, according to a Reuters report. With this approval, Starlink can now provide internet to more people in India.
India is a key market for Starlink because of its large population and growing use of digital services, and its entry also supports India's goals of improving digital access and helping more people get online.
Starlink's entry is expected to revolutionise internet access in remote and underserved parts of the country, where traditional broadband services are hard to deploy. The move also comes on the heels of recent recommendations by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), which are helping shape the spectrum rules for satellite internet providers.
