Delhi Heatwave: Delhi residents continue to wake up to scorching sun and high humidity as the heatwave intensifies. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning from today to tomorrow, cautioning people to take necessary precautions. Conditions are expected to remain harsh, with hot and humid weather predicted on June 11 and 12, with a 'yellow' alert in place for these days.
The rising temperatures and stifling humidity may increase health risks, especially during daytime hours. Citizens are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during peak heat.
According to the IMD, strong surface winds are likely in the city on Monday with the maximum temperature expected to hover around 43 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 28 degrees Celsius.

June 10:The maximum temperature will be 43-45 degrees Celsius and the minimum will be 27-29 degrees Celsius. Clear skies with heatwave conditions and dust-raising winds.
June 11:
The maximum temperature will be 42-44 degrees Celsius and the minimum will be 26-28 degrees Celsius. Hot and humid weather with clear skies.
June 12:
The maximum temperature will be 41-43 degrees Celsius and the minimum will be 27-29 degrees Celsius. Partly cloudy with chances of light rain and gusty winds.
June 13:
The maximum temperature will be 38-40 degrees Celsius and the minimum will be 26-28 degrees Celsius. No heatwave; light rain and thunderstorm expected.
June 14:
The maximum temperature will be 37-39 degrees Celsius and the minimum will be 26-28 degrees Celsius. Partly cloudy skies with rain and strong gusty winds.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature across Delhi-NCR ranged between 42 and 44 degrees Celsius, the weather department said. The Safdarjung monitoring station recorded a high of 42.1 degrees Celsius, Palam 43.6, Lodi Road 42.3, Ridge 42.9, while Ayanagar recorded the highest day-time temperature at 44.1 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
