Criminal Justice 4: Saahitya Pansare Shares The ONE Advice Pankaj Tripathi Gave Him That Will Stay Forever - EXCLUSIVE
Saahitya Pansare was "not even sure if Season 4 (of Criminal Justice) was happening." But the actor, who was earlier seen in films Sam Bahadur and Dange as well as the third season of Criminal Justice, alongside Pankaj Tripathi, is now back for the fourth season as well. The show, which is currently streaming, sees Saahitya reprise his role as a cop and the actor revealed that when he got the call from the production house saying they were considering him again, “it felt like a moment of quiet achievement.”
In an exclusive interaction with Zoom, Saahitya shared, “Every season in Criminal Justice has a different storyline, and very few characters continue into the next. So to be part of the continuity was genuinely fulfilling. It felt like my work had left some kind of imprint.”

For the actor, getting a chance to work once more with Pankaj Tripathi has been a great learning experience. While he did admit that chances to share screen with the powerhouse talent were few and far, it did give him, an opportunity to better his craft.
“Even though I share only a couple of scenes with Pankaj sir, most of them in the courtroom, I learned a great deal just by observing him,” Saahitya shared, adding that what inspired him most was Tripathi’s honesty to his craft.
“He’s an actor with no desperation for screen time or dialogue. If a scene has ten lines but he can convey the essence in four, he’ll choose the four,” Saahitya revealed. “That clarity only comes from years of rigorous training, command over language, and a deep understanding of subtext. Sharing that space with him is always a learning experience,” Saahitya went on to add.
However, the one thing that really stayed with Saahitya was a piece of advice Pankaj Tripathi gave him during the shoot of the series. “That conversation with him shifted something in me. He told me, “Don’t worry about what gets edited or how much you’re seen. Just do your work with honesty and move on.””
According to the actor that advice broadened his perspective.
“I started focusing more on my craft than on screen time or validation. As actors, we’re here to serve the story—not our egos. When you operate from that space, you find a certain peace,” he signed off.
