CID 2: Parth Samthaan AKA ACP Ayushman Cuts Cake With Shivaji Satam As He Bids Farewell To Show; Fans Say 'Will Miss You'

Parth Samthaan’s appearance as ACP Ayushmaan in CID Season 2 made quite an impact, marking a strong comeback on television. However, just weeks after joining the show, the actor announced his exit. And finally, the actor has bid an emotional farewell to the show, with a cake-cutting ceremony attended by the cast and crew of CID, including Hrishikesh Pandey, Aditya Srivastava and others. He has also penned a special note to his fans, thanking them for all the love.

The actor took to his official Instagram handle on Monday and dropped a video from the sets in which he is seen posing with Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman, Daya and more.

He wrote, "And that’s it from ACP Ayushman 🇮🇳, from being trolled by people to making them love this ACP was a beautiful journey of learnings , laughter and sweet memories … will always cherish the bond I shared with the entire CID Team (cast & crew) .. so much of love and respect for one another , no wonder it became the longest running and the most iconic show ❤️ A big Thankyou to all the creatives, @sonytvofficial for making me a part of your family. Soon after the post was shared, fans rallied to the comments section to extend their best wishes to Parth. One of the fans noted, "you were brilliant as ACP Ayushman," another added, "It's so hard to let ayushmaan go. I didn't thought I'll get so attached to ACP. I'm at lose of words. I'll miss you on my TV. And my mother loved you." Parth Samthaan has confirmed he’s leaving CID 2. In a Pinkvilla interview, he said he joined as ACP Ayushman for a short guest role that extended a few months but won’t continue due to other commitments. He thanked fans for their support.

CID, originally aired in 1998, returned for a second season on December 21 due to popular demand. CID 2 airs Saturdays and Sundays at 10 p.m. on Sony TV.
