Devoleena Bhattacharjee Introduces Son Joy On Annaprashan, Seeks Blessings For Good Health

Devoleena Bhattacharjee and her husband, Shanawaz Shaikh, were blessed with a baby boy on December 18, 2024. Today, on the occasion of the little one’s Annaprashan, a Hindu ceremony where the child is fed solid food for the first time, the actress revealed her son Joy’s face to fans. Sharing pictures on Instagram, she sought blessings for his good health.

Devoleena’s caption read, “With folded hands and hearts full of gratitude, we celebrated our beloved son’s Annaprashan, Joy’s first sacred taste of Anna (rice) May Maa Annapurna bless him with health, wisdom, and a life full of abundance. A beautiful milestone, a memory for a lifetime… (sic).”

Dressed in a dhoti and a kurta, Joy looked adorable. The ceremony was held according to Bengali traditions. Devoleena’s Saath Nibhaana Saathiya co-star Vishal Singh attended the function held in Mumbai.

On January 27, Devoleena announced her son’s name as Joy. She wrote on Instagram, “Our hearts are overflowing as we welcome our newest family member. Meet JOY, our bundle of happiness!”

Devoleena kept her relationship with Shanawaz a secret until they tied the knot on December 14, 2022. “And yes proudly i can say i am taken & yes shonu “ CHIRAAG LEKAR BHI DHOONDTI TOH TUJH JAISA NAHI MILTA. You are the answer of my pain & prayers. I LOVE YOU SHONU. Lots of love to you all. Keep us in your prayers & bless us. According to reports, Shanawaz was Devoleena’s fitness coach. The wedding was a low-key ceremony in Lonavala. The actress is yet to announce her post-maternity comeback.
