In a startling claim that adds a new layer to the mystery surrounding the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case, the brother of victim Raja Raghuvanshi has alleged that the alleged mastermind, Raj Kushwaha, was not just an acquaintance but an employee of Sonam Raghuvanshi.
Speaking to ANI, Vipul Raghuvanshi said, “Raj Kushwaha was Sonam’s employee. They would constantly talk on the phone.” He further hinted at a possible deeper connection, adding, “Raj Kushwaha’s name has come forward, which means Sonam can be involved in the murder.”
Expressing disbelief over the turn of events, Vipul said, “Both of them were happy when their marriage was fixed. We never thought Sonam would do something like this.” He added that while he had never met Kushwaha, he had heard his name in connection with Sonam.
Vipul also questioned the couple’s travel plans, pointing out inconsistencies. “They were only supposed to go to Assam to offer prayers at Maa Kamakhya Temple. After that, they said they were heading to Shillong. We don’t know who out of the two planned their visit to Meghalaya. They did not book any return tickets.”
"The Meghalaya government is not lying about the involvement of others," he added.

The Meghalaya Police have identified three key suspects in the honeymoon murder case - two attackers and the alleged mastermind. According to officials, Raj Kushwaha has been named the mastermind, who reportedly remained in constant contact with Sonam Raghuvanshi throughout the events leading up to the murder. Authorities are investigating if Kushwaha is Sonam's boyfriend.
