WWE Money in the Bank 2025 ended on a shocking note as R-Truth made his WWE return to attack John Cena during the main event. On June 1, Truth had posted that he had been released from WWE. It was reported that WWE would not renew his contract after it expires. It isn't known whether WWE has re-signed Truth or not.
Truth made a shocking appearance when Cena was on course to pin Cody Rhodes. The Undisputed WWE Champion had hit Cody with the belt and was about to pin him when Truth came out.
The former US Champion speared Cena and then attacked him to pave the way for Cody to pin the champion. Cody pinned Cena to mark a win for his team.
Cody teamed up with Jey Uso in the main event while Logan Paul was Cena's partner. There were tensions between Logan and Cena during the match. Logan mistakenly hit Cena with a splash as well. But in the end, Cena had the upper hand before Truth made an appearance.
It remains to be seen if Truth gets a title match against Cena or not. Not to forget, their match at the Saturday Night's main event was a non-title match. Cena defeated Truth in the tie.
Seth Rollins wins MITB Ladder Match
Seth Rollins won the men's Money in the Bank Ladder match. The two-time MITB winner was assisted by Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. They cleared the house for the eventual winner. Solo Sikoa was on the ladder and was on his way to retrieve the briefcase when Jacob Fatu stopped him. Their match could take place at SummerSlam.
Naomi won the Women's Ladder Match. She was the favourite to win the match and the former women's champion successfully retrieved the briefcase. Both MITB winners are expected to make successful cash-ins.
