PRIYANKA CHOPRA

Priyanka Chopra is an Indian actress, who has made a mark for herself in Bollywood as well as internationally. She first garnered recognition when she was crowned Miss World in the year 2000. Post that she entered Bollywood in 2003 with the film Love Story of a Spy, opposite Sunny Deol. However, it was with Aitraaz (2004), in which she played a negative role, that Priyanka's successful journey as an actress truly began.

In her long career, Priyanka has given a number of memorable performances in films such as Fashion (2008), Dostana (2008), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), Barfi! (2012), Mary Kom (2014), Bajirao Mastani (2015), Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), and more. For her impressive work in the movies, Priyanka has received several awards, including two National Film Awards (one for Best Actress for the 2008 film Fashion and the second for her role as the producer for the film Paani in 2019). In 2016, she was also honoured with the Padma Shri by the Indian government.

Priyanka is also one of the few Indian actresses, who has made a name for herself internationally as well. In 2015, she was seen in the American thriller series Quantico as Alex Parrish, becoming the first South Asian to headline an American network drama series. Quantico ran for three successful seasons and was discontinued in 2018. Besides this, she did international projects like Baywatch (2018), A Kid Like Jake Amal (2018), Isn't It Romantic (2019), and most recently, The Matrix Resurrections (2021).

On the personal front, Priyanka married American singer and actor Nick Jonas in 2018 in a big fat wedding in Jodhpur. In January 2022, the celebrity couple announced on social media that they have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, via surrogacy.
