Gujarati Farsi Puri With Wheat Flour For Healthy Weekend Feasting

​Farsi Puri​

Prepared with a rich blend of wheat flour and ghee, this traditional Gujarati dish is usually savoured with a hot cup of tea for a perfect evening snack.

​Ingredients​

2 cups wheat flour, 1/4 cup rava, 1 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp ajwain, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tbsp ghee, water, oil for frying.

​Step 1​

In a mixing bowl, start by adding wheat flour/atta along with ghee.

​Step 2​

Combine rava, cumin, ajwain, salt and pepper. Mix well.

​Step 3​

Add 1/2 cup water into the mixture and knead into a tight dough.

​Step 4​

Divide the dough into half and dust the wheat flour. Roll as thick as puri.

Prick holes with the fork and ensure that the puri is small and round.

Heat oil in a kadhai and fry on medium flame until golden and crispy.
