Donald Trump was booed by the audience at the Kennedy Center as he attended a performance of the French play Les Misérables on Wednesday. The President was at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts alongside his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, for the award-winning musical. As he entered the hall, he was greeted with a mix of cheers and boos. The boos stopped after a round of 'USA' chants, the Associated Press reported.

Notably, Wednesday was the first time the President was at the Kennedy Center since becoming the 47th POTUS. The 78-year-old has significantly restructured the board of the foundation after taking over at the White House. He slammed the previous leadership as being too "woke" and replaced them with loyalists.
Donald ad Melania Trump walked down the red carpet with Trump in a tuxedo, and the First Lady in a black dress. A buzzing group of reporters and photographers greeted the duo, with Trump also responding to a question about Israel potentially preparing an attack on Iran.
“We want to bring it back, and we want to bring it back better than ever,” Trump said about the new-look Kennedy Center under him.
Several of the key members of the Trump administration were also in attendance, including Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Notably, the performance was part of a sold-out national tour staged in the Opera House, seating over 2,300 guests. Several cast members chose to boycott the performance to protest Trump’s presence; understudies filled in for some roles.
