Trump Ready to Dump His Red Tesla in Fury? $80K Ride Becomes Latest Casualty in Musk Feud
Donald Trump's relationship with Elon Musk has soured significantly, leading to Trump reportedly putting his $80,000 Tesla up for sale. The car, once a symbol of their collaboration, now sits outside the West Wing amidst escalating tensions.

The latest breakup casualty of Donald Trump's fallout with Elon Musk could be his shiny red Tesla. The $80,000 EV, he once proudly bought "at full price" from none other than his former 'special advisor' Elon Musk, is now reportedly on the market after his full-blown public brawl with the tech billionaire.
According to a Wall Street Journal report, the car remains parked outside the West Wing, but not for long. A White House official says Trump is considering dumping the vehicle altogether, as tensions between him and Musk reach electric levels. The report states that the US President is "considering selling or giving away" the Tesla, which was once a White House photo-op to promote Elon Musk's company at a time when global protests and boycott calls were hitting Tesla.

Trump vs Elon Musk
The feud began when Musk criticised Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill," which is a major tax and spending plan, calling it "disgusting" and blaming it for increasing the federal deficit. Trump later accused Musk of going against him because of proposed cuts to electric vehicle subsidies. Musk denied the claim.
Later, the tech billionaire accused Trump of being named in the sealed Jeffrey Epstein files. "Time to drop the really big bomb: Donald Trump is in the Epstein files," he posted on X. "That is the real reason they have not been made public."
He also endorsed a message from right-wing commentator Ian Miles Cheong that read, "President vs Elon. Who wins? My money’s on Elon. Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should replace him." Musk replied to the post, writing, "Yes."
Donald Trump, in a series of media appearances, made it clear he has no intention of speaking to Elon Musk anytime soon. "I'm not even thinking about Elon. He’s got a problem. The poor guy's got a problem," Donald Trump told CNN. In a separate interview with ABC News, the US President was even more blunt, calling Elon Musk "a man who has lost his mind."
