The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has confirmed that both public-sector banks (PSBs) and private banking institutions will not operate on these dates. Additionally, banks will remain closed on Sunday, June 8, 2025, due to the weekend holiday.

On June 6, banks in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi will close their doors to honour Bakrid. On June 7, banks throughout the nation, except Ahmedabad, Gangtok, Itanagar, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram, will also observe a closure for Bakrid. Notably, the first Saturday of the month allows banks in these specific cities to remain open, as the RBI typically designates the second and fourth Saturdays as bank holidays.
Online Banking Services Available
Despite the closures, customers can still access online banking services during the *Eid holiday. This convenience allows individuals to manage their financial transactions without interruption. Customers are encouraged to utilise these services for personal banking needs.
Individuals are advised to regularly consult the RBI's holiday calendar to stay updated on bank holidays, which can vary by state and are influenced by national, regional, and religious observances. Awareness of these holidays is essential for effective financial planning and transaction management.

Government Offices: Mostly Shut
