venue being shifted from Kolkata to Ahmedabad, but the final is taking place nine days later than originally scheduled on June 3 (Tuesday).

When Else Has The IPL Final Taken Place On A Weekday?

Only twice before has the IPL final been scheduled on a weekday. In the 2020 and 2021 seasons, when the United Arab Emirates (UAE) hosted the tournament, and the summit clash was held on Tuesday and Friday, respectively, at the Dubai International Stadium.
Another such instance was the 2023 final which that originally set to take place on Sunday but was then pushed to the reserve day on Monday.
