Coldplay swept through the landscape of Seoul with six shows that culminated on April 25. The British boy band gave South Korea, one of its biggest musical extravagenza seen in recent times, with as many as 50,000 fans turning up to fill the Goyang Stadium per show during its Music of the Spheres concert. Infact, keeping up with the incredible turnover, the entire Seoul leg of Coldplay has even broken a record.

Coldplay breakes record in Seoul

On April 26, Korea Times reported that as of Thursday, 99 percent of Coldplay fans in Korea have returned the LED wristband that were used during the performances. This set a world record for the band's global sustainable efforts.
Coldplay has for years supported eco-conscious approach to live music. For this, the band provided the audience with reusable, plant-based LED wristbands called Xylobands. It is similar to the K-pop light sticks that fans use to illuminate the venue in different colors and rhythms as per the concert. Coldplay encouraged its audience to return them after the show for recycling.
For a healthy rivalry, ranking boards were put up to encourage people to recycle their bands. South Korea beat Japan in the race. Helsinki and Hong Kong followed at third and fourth spots.
